Google confirmed that it is working closely with several companies including Nokia, Huawei, OnePlus, LG, HTC, Motorola, Samsung and a few more to bring Android Oreo to some of their devices. The companies are slowly and eventually announcing the names of the phones that will get updated to Android Oreo operating system. Earlier OnePlus, HMD Global announced the phones that will get the new Android Oreo. Now, HTC does the same.

HTC USA took to twitter the day after Google announced the new software to announce the devices that will get the Android Oreo update. The company writes -- "We're excited to bring Android Oreo to HTC U11, HTC U Ultra, and HTC 10 owners worldwide! Details & additional devices to be announced soon."
So, the HTC U11, HTC U Ultra, and HTC 10 should rejoice. All the three phones are currently running on Android Nougat. Apart from the names of the devices, HTC now confirms the timeline of the roll out as well. The company officially announced via a tweet that all the three phones will get the software update in Q4, which is sometime between October and December this year. The post that the company tweets reads as follows: "We're excited to bring Android 8.0 to the HTC U11, U Ultra, & 10, beginning with U11 in Q4. Stay tuned for more Oreo details & new products!"
This also sort of predicts that other companies who are also in talks with Google to bring Android Oreo to their devices may also roll out the update sometime around the same time, that is Q4. Google is said to be in talks with Essential, General Mobile, HMD Global Home of Nokia Phones, Huawei, HTC, Kyocera, LG, Motorola, Samsung, Sharp, and Sony to bring the software update to some of their devices.
Although Xiaomi doesn't seems to make a place on the list. But, arguably the 13 phones by Xiaomi will get the update. The phones include -- Redmi 4A, Mi 5C, Redmi Note 4, Redmi 4X, Redmi Note 4X, Redmi 4, Mi Mix, Mi 5S, Mi 5S Plus, Redmi 3S, Redmi 3S Prime, Mi 5, and Redmi Note 3. Sadly, the latest flagship phone - Mi 6 isn't there on the list. It is noteworthy that the list hasn't been confirmed by Xiaomi as of now.
Apart from HTC, OnePlus and HMD Global has also confirmed the devices that will get Android Oreo but didn't reveal the timeline of the roll out yet. OnePlus CEO said that last years' flagship phones -- OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T will get the software update, but also notes that this will be the last update that the phones will receive.
